It is not my fault. The musician asked me that I made it and here he is. Remember that I am only one copywriter. CD Cover layout contend compositions of Eli-Eri, Chamber Music (Sonanti Group).

The illustration of the layout is a detail of this work: [link]

Well... the font was a Eli-Eri’s personal choice… and I agree with him, because the picture have a lot elements and curves. And the proper instrument gives the classic tone of the thing.

A curiosity: I have perceived that you value the not geometric fonts and I think this fruit of your culture, since you are accustomed to the writing curvilinear (and pretty) of yours. We, here, give to preference the clean fonts, without many details and of easy reading. As you can perceive, our choices also are fruits of our culture, and I love this diversity.

Well, I will excuse to disagree particuallry with most of typography done in this nice artpiece.. I don't know if you accept my opinion, but take it as just an opinion not more or less :) .. First, there is no picture .. there is an oil painting.. which is done in classic method.. Most gemortic or Sans serif fonts are communicating to give the feeling of future, I recommend you to read about the history of "Futura" the first Sans serif font has ever done, because its name in it self mean this category of fonts are giving effect of future.. The culture of mine and urs has nothing to do in my opinion in this design.. It is related exactly at the violin head.. In visual communication the relation between the "SHAPE" and "FONT" is very important.. Violin is related to some sound which gives classy and high gatherd taste impact .. At this point I agree on some sans serifs fonts.. and the OIL painting is sending me more to classic stuff .. So this type is not the best choice in my own opinion i would prefer something like this poster which still handel the modernism effect inside classy visuals [link] , well .. In other hand ur view is ok for me and I accept it very much but It is still against that font, may be if you try something like avante garde font you will feel more curvies and better function at reading in the small type, or you may find a more contrasted sans serif font which its Y factor is tall enought to represent the shape of the violins astrunments .. here u are a small example for Isaac Stern, violin [link]
btw, i am not that classical typographer at all, i am more into modern typography than classics.. u may check my scraps to find me doing gemotry arabic fonts. ;)
